Human Capital Partner

You help to develop our HR department into a professional "Human Capital Services" organisation, providing a high-quality service to employees, managers and board. In this context, you are the first point of contact for our site in Leuven, the base of operations for some 120 employees.

Through your proximity and follow-up, you contribute to the satisfaction of and social cohesion between our employees. Our managers find in you a valuable sounding board.

Point of contact for Human Resources & Business processes

As a Human Capital partner, you

  • Act as sparring partner of the Human Capital Manager for both strategic and operational HR matters;
  • Confer at regular intervals with your fellow Human Capital Partners, who all have their own site and expertise (Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Wellbeing...);
  • Take an active role in the team and contribute to developing various HR processes, policies and projects;
  • Are the ambassador of at least one project, which we will choose together based on your current and future expertise. You will create a conceptual framework for this, map the current processes and contribute to concrete innovations, from planning and coordination over actions and follow-up up to support and administration. These are some of the potential topics:
  • Development and valuation cycle;
  • Good management & wellbeing;
  • Total Reward strategy;
  • Structural changes and change processes;
  • Internal communication within HR;
  • Perception of values and corporate culture;
  • Employer branding;
  • Employee events;
  • Internal mobility;
  • Job and role descriptions;
  • Recruitment (process, interviews, contract proposals...)
  • Onboarding;
  • Learning and Development;
  • HR information systems.

For one or more of these topics, you will also be responsible for the actual implementation, up to and including general support tasks.

  • Without having to be the specialist, you also remain the point of contact of employees for specific questions in other areas, such as changes in contract or work schedules, thematic leave, salary elements, foreign business trips, labour law, commuting, policies, reintegration after absence, job crafting, etc.
  • You keep in touch with what is going on, act as an internal coach and solution-oriented advisor for employees and managers at the different stages of the HR life cycle: from discussing recruitment needs, conducting selection interviews with candidates and giving advice on their further development up to supervising their mobility and exit;
  • In consultation with management, you help to work out, communicate and manage organisational changes.

Profile

You have:

  • A master's degree (or equivalent through experience), e.g. in Economics, Law, Human Resources, Occupational Psychology...
  • At least 5 years of experience in a generalist HR function;
  • Demonstrable experience in various HR areas such as performance management, development and change management is considered a plus;
  • Sufficient professional expertise to turn evidence-based HR models into a workable approach;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Commitment;
  • Positivism;
  • A healthy interest in, profound knowledge of or experience in social law is considered a plus.

  • Strong in providing creative input and in monitoring its implementation in a structured and accurate manner;

  • A fan of variety. You get energy from the variety of topics you get to work on, and can switch between the different business areas that you work for;
  • Very fluently bilingual (N/E), both in writing and verbally.
