Join our team as a European R&D&I Activities Coordinator at the Flanders Make Application Research Division!
Flanders Make aims to drive digital transformation in the manufacturing sector to boost international competitiveness. Key focus areas include smart, interconnected products and production systems, cost-effective customisation, agile and human-centred manufacturing, and sustainability. Technologies like AI, domain expertise, digital twins, and digital work instructions will be essential in this Industry 5.0 transition.
Flanders Make develops and performs projects to address technological changes, with the goal of linking university research to industry needs. These projects cover technology readiness levels 2 through 7. As the European R&D&I Activities Coordinator, you will translate European project requirements and partner requirements into clearly scoped projects and oversee their effective execution for the Manufacturing industry.
Your Role
As a European R&D&I Activities Coordinator within ProductionS, you will be responsible for:
- Call Analysis: Monitoring European calls (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, Interreg, ESF, etc.) and identifying opportunities that align with our technological roadmap;
- Project Development: Representing ProductionS in the early stages of proposal setting up and coordinating the involvement/contributions from researchers in the advanced stage of project proposals, which are aligned with the strategic goals of ProductionS, with a focus on digital production, flexible automation, OEE, and operator support;
- Consortium Building: Identifying and connecting with relevant labs from Flanders Make network and European partners from industry, academia, and government, ensuring complementarity and impact;
- Project Execution Follow-up: Overseeing the progress of ongoing projects, coordinating reporting, and ensuring internal knowledge sharing.
PROFILE
Your Profile
- Proven track record (3-5y) with European research projects (H2020, Horizon Europe, ESF, etc.);
- Master’s level thinking and analytical skills;
- Affinity with digital transformation, production automation, and operator-supporting technologies;
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, both internally and externally;
- Structured and independent working style, with a sharp eye for deadlines and quality.
